1985 Honda GL1200 Goldwing Aspencade - $1,750.00
This is a great parts or project bike.
It has been stored and needs to be revived from storage.
It is running but needs carburetors
cleaned out to run well.
On 4-14-16 we did a full diagnostic and found the following:
The engine compression is fantastic at 185 PSI on all 4 cylinders with no variation at all. This is impressive but not uncommon for these time tested and proven motors.
As you can see in the video idle is rough and throttle response is slow.
I did get it up to 65 mph quickly on my short street.
We bled the clutch and brake fluids fluid so all working well there.
As shown in the video the charging system checks out real nice.
The inside of the gas tank looks clean.
Some work that would need to be done before this bike would run well:
Rebuild the carburetors.
The oil and filter need to be changed.
The final drive lube and the coolant need to be changed.
The fork seals need to be changed.
Clean the calipers and rotors and replace both front and rear brake pads.
Clean the air filter.
Replace fuel hose and filters.
69,658 miles is very low for this bike. I have seen them running strong with over
Cosmetically, this bike looks fantastic for its age. If you get up close, you will find a few things, such as:
Some sun fading on the front fairing, a few scratches on the body, and a rip in the seat along one of the seam lines. The radio is missing as well.
We have the clear title, shown in the last picture. I am licensed and bonded with the California DMV. I am also a licensed vehicle verifier. If you are in California then I will also collect the sales tax of 8% plus $120.00 registration fee plus a document preparation charge of $65.00. I will give you a temporary registration permit on the spot and your new registration will come to you in the mail. You will not stand in line at the DMV and there will be no surprises. If you are outside of California and you ship by common carrier then you will pay only the purchase price and I will hand you or mail you the title. I must have a copy of the shipping contract from the driver when picked up or a bill of lading.
Without proof of shipment via common carrier I would still need to collect the 8% sales tax.
