2001 BMW R1200C - $4,700.00
Amazing, beautiful, rare and very nice condition for a 2001.
Yes it is fuel injected, has ABS brakes and is shaft driven.
I have seen these BMW's with over a quarter million miles on them running strong with just light maintenance. It has the hard to find genuine BMW leather upgraded passenger seat with both back rests.
This is a rare model. Only made from 1997 to 2005. It has been very well cared for and stored here in the dry desert.
No rust anywhere. Nice original real leather seats and almost perfect paint (see photo of tiny ding on tank) and an almost perfect windshield that has a small bug size scuff on the far left that the camera wont show.
The bags have some very light scuffs on them. They are leather, plus locking, plus quick release.
40 miles per gallon with a 4.5 gallon tank so should go about 180 miles on a tank.
Top speed is rated at 110 mph.
See 52 pictures below including the title and watch the video of me riding it.
We have been servicing this bike for the owner of many years.
Recently on November 5th 2019 we revived it from indoor storage, replaced the battery, did a full inspection and flushed out the fuel system. We had changed all the fluids less than a year ago.
Absolutely everything works as it did when new. It needs nothing except to be ridden, shown off and admired!
Registration is actually current through May 16-2020.
For fun here (below) is also another link to a James Bond clip from 1997 with one of the first of these unique bikes used in film:
What makes it unique is mostly the Wish Bone pivoting suspension or technically the
Motorad Telelever Stanchion front suspension. This bike has some collector value and unlike a new bike that depreciates like crazy the first 4 years, this will continue to
appreciate or go up in value if taken care of the way it has been.
Please feel confident before you
make the commitment to buy.
I have sold thousands of motorcycles from this same location since 1976.
TITLE AND REGISTRATION:
Registration is current through May 16- 2020
We have the clear title, shown in
the last picture. I am licensed and bonded with the California DMV. If you are
in California then I will also collect the tax of 7.75% plus a documentation
processing charge of $70.00. Plus the registration fee of $15.00
My buyers (you) never pay DMV registration penalties.
I will give you a temporary registration permit on the spot and your new
registration will come to you in the mail.
If you are outside of California and you ship by common carrier then you will
pay only the purchase price and I will hand you or mail you the title. I must
have a copy of the shipping contract from the driver when picked up or a bill
Without proof of shipment via common carrier I would still need to collect the
7.75% sales tax
If you are less than 150 miles away then I can offer delivery for a fee
on a case by case basis if paid in advance.
My customers have used many different competitively priced door to door
shipping services. No crating ever needed.
A simple Google search for "motorcycle shipping" will bring up lots
of options. Depending on the size and distance an average size street bike
might cost anywhere from $450.00
to $650.00. Please make your own arrangements and then give your company my
phone number and address. Sam's Cycle Service Inc. 34-044 Bob Hope Dr. Rancho
Mirage Ca. 92270 Phone 760-343-3131.
I am here
to assist. If you are out of state then please let your shipper know that
we will need a Bill Of Lading when picked up.

We prefer that you come test ride before leaving a deposit but if you feel
confident enough then you can leave a 10% deposit via credit card to hold your

take its 10 full days to clear my account before you take delivery.
